WELCOME TO THE CITY OF PORTAGE, IN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2026

Modern planning principles and trends in community development, quality of life, and sense of place, will require that the City of Portage assess its current land use policies and update them to better address today’s development needs. The application of new planning principles and trends as a part of the updated comprehensive plan will ensure sustained community growth, vitality, and social well-being of the City for the next decade.​

​This website, along with community meetings, will allow residents to provide input and share ideas about the 2026 Comprehensive Plan. Our goal in this process is to engage with residents and to hear what Portage should prioritize to grow the city in a positive direction.
